This procedure causes mild trauma via small needles. It is moderately uncomfortable. Numbing cream may be applied to skin approximately 45 minutes before treatment begins. 

Common side effects 

• Redness & flushing 

• Swelling & pain 

• Tenderness & itching 

• Some pinpoint bleeding 

The skin may remain red and tender for up to 48 hours. Extremely rare side effects may include infections and ulceration. 

I am 18 years or older, I am not pregnant or breast feeding. 

I understand that the practice of medicine and surgery is not an exact science and therefore that no guarantee can be given as to the results of the treatment referred to in this document. I accept and understand that the goal of this treatment is improvement, not perfection, and that there is no guarantee that the anticipated results will be achieved. 

The procedure for microneedling has been explained to me by the practitioner. I have read and understand the information given to me. I consent to undergo treatment.

Treatment Advice for Clients 

Contraindications to microneedling

  • Pregnancy and breast feeding 
  • Roaccutane 
  • Laser treatment 
  • Broken skin 
  • Sunburn 
  • Active Eczema/psoriasis 
  • Chemotherapy and radiation 
  • Active herpes 
  • Severe blood blotting disorder 

Post Treatment Advice 

  • Use of Genosys Repair Cream/AFS for first week 
  • Skin may feel drier or tighter – this is quite normal. 
  • Do not use sunbed, sunbathe, sauna or steam bath for one month 
  • Always use recommended sun protection SPF 30 minimum – Genosys Multi Sun Cream SPF 40 
  • Avoid electrolysis, waxing, bleaching (face) for 36 hours 
  • Do not swim in chlorinated water for 14 days 
  • No excessive exercise immediately after treatment 
  • Avoid makeup for 24hours, mineral is recommended 
  • Take directed advice if undergoing laser or IPL treatment
