Communications & Development Internship Application

Students gain professional experience in nonprofit fundraising and communication strategies through the Communications & Development Internship. Hands-on experience with donor relationships, grant research and writing, website management, social media and print communication projects, and other initiatives that tell the organization's story. Please note: This internship opportunity is only available in person at our main headquarters.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Creating content for social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn)

· Assist with media (blog content, photo, and video)

· Creating printed content (thank you postcards, flyers, etc.)

· Support streamlined communication to current and prospective donors

· Support fundraising efforts

· Data entry

· Industry research

· Assist with video content

· Grant research, writing and proofing

· Outreach

· Perform other communications functions as needed.

Qualifications:

· Passion for making a valuable contribution to Arizona youth, their families, and communities.

· Current undergraduate or graduate student, recent graduate, or experience in fundraising, communications.

· Written communication skills, short and long-copy.

· Excellent verbal communication skills.

· Familiarity with key social media tools (e.g., Instagram and Facebook) and with Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

· Ability to prioritize tasks, detail, and deadlines with good self-care management.

· Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
