LEARNING AGREEMENT

SUBJECT OF THE AGREEMENT

The subject of the Agreement is the provision of educational Services by the School under the Program on the terms and in the manner defined in the Agreement, which the Client undertakes to pay for in accordance with the requirements of the Agreement.

Form of education: full-time/additional education/short courses

The term of Program mastering (duration of study) is from 1 month (short programs such as English language course) to 1-13 years (obtaining an international certificate).

Information about the start and end dates of educational services, stages of services (if any), other information about the services is placed by the School on the Website Term Dates page.

Place of educational services provision: Great Britain/online education.

After the Client has successfully completed the final tests/examinations, the certificate of education will be issued, the sample of which is set by the School independently and/ or international certificate, in case of taking international examinations in the Cambridge International examination centers.

The Client who failed to complete the final tests/exams or received unsatisfactory results, as well as the Client who has mastered part of the Program and (or) expelled, is issued a certificate of training or period of training on the sample, independently established by the School.

RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS  

The Service Provider undertakes to:

Provide an opportunity for the Student to register by filling in the registration form;

Enroll the Student who has concluded the Agreement and fulfilled the conditions of admission to the Program as a student;

Provide the Client with explanations on the procedure and rules of filling in the registration form, the content of the educational services, the cost of educational services and other issues related to the provision of services under the Agreement, orally or in writing by e-mail;

To provide the Client with the conditions of its mastering provided by the Program;

Provide the necessary control of the Student's knowledge;

Accept payment for educational services in accordance with the terms of the Agreement;

To place in advance the schedule of classes under the Program, as well as information about changes in the schedule on the Website and/or to inform the Client about it by e-mail, the address of which is specified in the registration form.

The Service Provider warrants that:

- the instructors have provided the Services with due care and quality;

- all work shall be carried out professionally and in accordance with all applicable laws and admission regulations; and

Service Provider will endeavor to provide the most appropriate faculty for the Student and will reassign as soon as possible if:

A faculty member is dismissed; or becomes permanently unavailable due to illness; or

Is unable or incapable of fulfilling the role. 

The Service Provider will work towards:

- ensure the effective and efficient utilization of classes by the Student;

- respond to communications sent by the Client and the Student or the Student's representatives via email, text messages or telephone calls within 12 hours, except in unforeseen circumstances.

LIABILITY OF THE PARTIES

CLIENT

Client understands that Provider does not guarantee academic performance, results, scholarships or offers of admission to Universities and will not be responsible for academic success or lack thereof demonstrated by Student.

Client agrees to:

- endeavor to ensure that the Student complies with the terms of this Agreement;

- bear the registration costs associated with any examinations, tests and/or applications on behalf of the Student; 

Client acknowledges that:

- although Provider will maintain consistent and ongoing engagement with Student, Provider will not be responsible for Student's level of engagement or lack thereof;

- any discussions, proposals, marketing materials or other information relating to the provision of services by LEO School shall not form part of this Agreement unless expressly stated herein or otherwise agreed by both parties in writing.

STUDENT

Student agrees:

- to connect 5-10 minutes prior to the start of the lesson, to prepare, if necessary, study materials (books, notebooks, stationery) for the upcoming lesson;

- to study under the Program (master the Program) in accordance with the academic and (or) individual study plan, including independent preparation for classes, to perform tasks given by the teacher;

- independently organize a study/workplace with a personal computer or other devices;

- to have access to the Internet, to check audio/video connections before the beginning of classes;

- treat the property of the Provider and other Service Recipients with care;

Client and Student agree to:

- to contact the Education Coordinator or Administrator (admin@leo-school.uk) within three (3) business days if there are any technical problems that prevent the Student from using the services;

- endeavor to respond to any communications from LEO School tteachers, administrators, and counselors within 12 hours; and adhere to the terms of this Agreement.

The Client has the right:

The Client has the right to terminate this Agreement at any time by notifying the School in writing (including by e-mail) at least 30 (thirty) calendar days before the beginning of the next term. If the Contract is cancelled at the beginning or middle of a term, the payment for the current term will not be refunded. All future payments for subsequent semesters, including payments for additional services and study materials (irrespective of the date of provision), shall cease. The Client is fully released from any further financial obligations to the School under this Agreement.

The Service Provider has the right:

 

Receive from the Client any information necessary to fulfill its obligations under the Contract;

To independently determine the methods of rendering educational services under the Agreement, to carry out the educational process, to choose assessment systems, forms, order and frequency of interim tests of the Client;

To independently hire employees engaged for the purposes of rendering Services under the Agreement; in exceptional cases, if necessary, to solve the issue of replacement;

In case the number of students within the Program on the date of the beginning of the provision of educational services is insufficient for the beginning of the provision of educational services, to postpone the date of the beginning of the provision of educational services to a later date, notifying the Client by the methods provided for in the Agreement.

School Fees and Enrolment Conditions

REGISTRATION FEES

We require a one-off non-refundable Registration Fee of £500.00 per child to secure your child’s place with us. This amount also covers the cost of the admissions process.

ACADEMIC DISCOUNTS

Students with high grades from previous schools and with awards in areas such as English, Maths, Science can apply for a discount (Scholarship) on tuition at our school from 5% to 30%. To receive a scholarship, students are required to pass tests in Maths, English and Science at our school.

SIBLING DISCOUNT

We offer a 10% Sibling Discount when you enrol two or more children from your family. The discount will be taken off the fees for your second child (and the third, or fourth, etc.). Sibling discount does not apply if there are Academic discount received by the same student.

Also during the school year, students who have achieved excellent grades at LEO School can receive discounts in the following academic year.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE

If English is not a student's first language, the student will take a mandatory English level test. If the student's English level is not sufficient for the courses, an English language course will be offered. An English course and some school subjects may also be offered.

ATTENDANCE

It should be strictly in accordance with the student's curriculum.

EXAMINATION FEES (IGCSE & A-LEVEL)

These fees are once-off and are paid to the examination centres through whom you choose to write your exams.

TERM PAYMENT

Payment by the Client of educational services in the amount, is made three times a year for each semester and on the dates specified below:

Autumn Term - 15th of August

Spring term - 15th of December

Summer term - 15th of March

*These dates do not correspond to the academic term dates that vary year to year

FEES must be paid in accordance with the information given on the fees invoice.

SUSPENSION FOR NON-PAYMENT

If payment is not made on the due date, the School will require the student to be suspended from classes until payment is made.

The cost of education remains unchanged according to the agreement except for force-majeure circumstances.

IF YOU WISH TO CANCEL

If you wish to withdraw from a course within the first 30 days of enrolling on the course

If you find that the course is not suitable for your child and you inform us within 30 days of enrolment that you wish to make a refund, we will refund the full balance, excluding any time you have managed to study and the registration fee.

Media Consent for the use of images, sounds and names

We would like to acknowledge on the school's website/social media those children who do well in the exam and highlight any academic achievements.

During the year, the school may wish to use photographs, sound or video recordings of students in the School only promotional material such as the school prospectus, social media or our website.

The school need to ask for your consent before the school or other media use any images or recording of your child or the name of your child.

Our policy is to use only children’s first names in school online media whenever possible. However, there are some circumstances when it is appropriate to use both first name and surname (full surname or just surname initial), for example to distinguish between children with the same first name or when a child is mentioned in an press release for external media.

Media Consent guidance for Parents

Whilst your child is at LEO school,  there will be times when photographs, video and sound recordings will be made of your child as part of the learning that takes place in the school. All staff are aware of their responsibilities for student safeguarding and data protection, and they will always take care to ensure images and sound are collected, used and stored in accordance with regulations and parental wishes.

There are also times when we use images, video and sound recordings of students to inform parents and the  community about what is happening in the school. The main way images, videos and recordings are shared is via school and trust printed publications and websites, school social media platforms and media such as newspapers and radio.

Gathering Media Permissions

As part of the process for General Data Protection, we are required to seek permission from parents with regard to how we use a student’s personal information.

Important Points to Note before Giving Consent

• The consents you give are valid for the duration of your child’s education LEO School.

If you change your mind about giving consent whilst your child is at LEO school you can do so

• Our policy is to use only children’s first names in school printed and online media.

• We will never publish countries where children are located,  home address, phone numbers or email addresses.

• Images of children will be stored securely by the school. Video and sound recordings may be stored on external sites such as YouTube.

• We will not usually retain photographs of your child once they cease to be a student at school. However, photographs published on LEO school websites, in prospectus and other printed or online publications, or those that are part of our archive of learning activities, could continue to exist for an unspecified period of time after your child has left.

• We will only use photographs and video recordings of students who are suitably dressed, to minimise any risk of misuse.
