Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must be an active AEIRS member for two consecutive years including the year of application. The Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson of the Scholarship Committee are not eligible to apply for a scholarship. Up to two scholarships will be awarded annually not to exceed $500 each.
Submission Guidelines
The following documents must be submitted electronically to the AEIRS office at operations@aeirs.org by April 1, 2025 by 11:59pm EST:
· verification of expected presentation expenses (transportation & accommodations, etc.)
· a brief description of the presentation (including how the presentation will positively affect the audience, the presenter, and imaging and radiologic sciences education)
· a presentation outline
· a letter from the sponsoring organization accepting the presentation
Combine all additional documents into one single PDF file. Place the documents in the order listed above. Name the file “Professional Presentation Scholarship Application – Last Name”. All applications must be submitted as one PDF file to be considered. The AEIRS office will acknowledge receipt of the file.
The Scholarship Committee will not consider applications that do not 1) address all submission guidelines or 2) include all required documents.
Recipient Requirements
The recipient is encouraged to attend the 2025 AEIRS Annual Meeting to accept this award. The recipient must agree:
- to submit an abstract of his/her experience including a photograph AEIRS Operations Manager within 30 days of return.
- to use funds as specified in the application.
If funding is awarded, the recipient will receive an agreement that includes these stipulations that must be signed and returned to the AEIRS office prior to disbursement of funds.
