Student Confidentiality Agreement

Part of being a member of the Survival Program and the Retain Your Brain Program is to make sure that everyone feels comfortable. We want everyone to feel they can trust one another and feel comfortable in sharing their thoughts and feelings with one another.

This means anything that is said while we are in our group SHOULD NOT be repeated outside of our group.

As participants, we need to be capable of being trustworthy and respectful to each other’s feelings. This is called “maintaining confidentiality”. Consequences of breaking the confidentiality agreement may result in being unable to participate in this group or future groups provided by Step’s Foundation, Inc and its affiliates.

Facilitators, mentors, tutors, speakers,  and/or students may break confidentiality if another student discloses that they want to harm themselves or others, disclose abuse of any kind to children/elderly/disabled, or are in a dangerous situation and need immediate assistance. All mentors, speakers and facilitators are mandated reporters, which means they must contact the proper authorities should any of these situations arise.

By signing below, I acknowledge that I have read and understand this agreement.
