The Code of Conduct is to establish a clear understanding of appropriate and inappropriate behaviors within our programs.
Although there has always been a zero-tolerance stance regarding behaviors that lead to disruption of activities or physical harm to others, this is a reminder to you of Step's Foundation, Inc's expectations for your conduct. This code of conduct is in place whether you are attending virtually or in-person.
- Show respect to other participants and treat them as well as you would like to be treated.
- Show respect to staff, volunteers, and speakers and cooperate fully with their instructions
- Know and follow the rules of the program in which I am participating.
- Respect the rights and beliefs of others, and treat others with courtesy and consideration.
- Communicate in an appropriate manner; refrain from using foul language or gestures, harsh words, or tone of voice.
- Conduct yourself responsibly to avoid risky (or unsafe) horseplay, unwelcome teasing, or other unkind behaviors.
- Use program equipment, supplies, and facilities properly.
- Respect the property of others.
- Participate appropriately. You will not disrupt the program and hinder the learning experience of others.
- Remain with your program group at all times and do not leave the program without permission.
- Refrain from deliberately causing bodily harm to other participants, staff, volunteers, or speakers. You understand that pushing, kicking, hitting, or fighting is not acceptable and will not be tolerated.
- Be fully responsible for your actions and understand that failure to follow this Code of Conduct will result in disciplinary action or expulsion from the program.
