Women's History Coalition of Miami-Dade County Membership Application

The Women’s History Coalition of Miami-Dade County, Inc. was founded in 1983 and incorporated three years later. It is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization with a Board of Directors elected by the membership at the Annual Meeting on May. The primary purpose of the Coalition is to promote women’s history. It sponsors special programs and events of its own throughout the year and it coordinates and promotes events of other community groups during Women’s History Month which is nationally celebrated each March. There is also an Oral History Committee. The Board of Directors is multi-cultural and all of its activities are accomplished by volunteers who have a common interest in preserving the history and contributions of women in South Florida. The organization is financially supported by dues, community contributions and grants. Membership is open to anyone interested in the mission of the Women’s History Coalition.
