I hereby release and agree to indemnify and hold harmless Wellsprings Equine, including all agents, activity sponsors, professionals, and volunteers, per Utah Code 78-27b-101.

1. I am aware of and assume responsibility for the inherent risks and dangers with regard to equine activities that may result in serious injury and in some cases death, which may include:

a horse or pony may, without warning or any apparent cause, buck, stumble, fall, rear, bite, kick, run, back away, make unpredictable movements, spook, jump obstacles, step on a person’s feet, push or shove a person, saddles or bridles may loosen or break – all of which may cause the participant serious injury or death.

(b) the unpredictability of the equine’s reaction as a prey animal to outside stimulation such as sounds, sudden movement, and unfamiliar objects, persons, or other animals, regardless of their training and past performance, that may present real or imagined danger to them;

(d) the potential of a participant to act in a negligent manner that may contribute to injury to the participant or others, such as failing to maintain control over the animal or not acting within his or her ability.

2. I voluntarily assume the risks and danger of injury or death from participation in activities and use of equipment and facilities provided to me by Wellsprings Equine.

3. I understand it is recommended I wear a properly fitted and secured protective helmet when handling or riding equines.

4. I agree to follow all instructions and safety rules.

5. I agree to only approach/handle and/or feed equines with explicit permission. I understand and agree I am only permitted entrance to the premises at scheduled times with the instructor present.

I have read this entire Release of Liability Document. I have made a free and deliberate choice to sign this Release and Waiver as a condition for Wellsprings Equine allowing me or my child to handle or riide a horse.

I give permission for Wellsprings Equine to post photos of me or minor on their website and social media.
