NEW APPROACHES IN HIMALAYAN EDUCATION: Learning in Ladakh

A Weatherhead Institute and Columbia University event focusing on the educational needs of Ladakhi youth enduring the personal trauma of Covid-19 alongside escalating environmental, economic, and geopolitical stress. This conference will explore local initiatives and identify best practices while sharing evidence-based solutions to better support local leadership in addressing historical and emerging obstacles in response to Ladakhi youth's changing needs and untapped potential. Co-sponsored by the the Columbia University School of the Arts, Siddhartha School Partnership, the Tibetan Classics Translators Guild of New York, Tibet House US, The Rubin Museum of Art, Global Family Travels, and the US-Ladakh Skitsdug Tsokspa Association
