I understand and acknowledge that by volunteering to work at this event I agree to abide by the Organiser’s Terms and Conditions in their entirety, as presented to and agreed by me at the time of signing up and a copy is available to view online at www.ratrace.com

Benefits Package

I accept that I will need to sign in and out of my shift with the event supervisors and that I will not receive my event credit or other volunteer incentive until the end of my shift. I understand that if I do not complete my shift satisfactorily, Rat Race reserves the right to withhold all benefits and my deposit payment.

£5 Deposit Refund

I understand that I will receive my £5 deposit back after the event. These will be processed by our office team within 10 working days of the event.

Nature of the Work

I know that the work will take in place in potentially hazardous environments which may be wet or muddy and as such there is always a risk of injury. I will make an assessment of my work area and take reasonable care to prevent injury to myself from such risks. I will not put myself in a position of danger if trying to help a participant, by for example, removing my clothing to give to a participant. I know that this is an outdoor event and that it will take place in varied weather conditions and that I should prepare myself for the conditions of the day accordingly.

Photography and Film

I understand that, under the Event Terms and Conditions, I have consented to my likeness being used for the transmission of film and/ or photography by the organisers and/ or their agents, including for the purposes of the transmission of footage on TV. I agree that all photography or film that I capture of the event will be for personal use only. In addition to Rat Race’s promotional use I give consent for Sanctuary Films Limited to use my image, video, photographic stills & voice in perpetuity and across all territories, as part of Children With Cancer UK’s advertising campaign, as long as there is no undue prominence.

I agree to follow the rules and standards set out by Rat Race for the appropriate behaviour and actions of a crew member. I agree to follow the instructions I am given and comply with any communications and reporting protocols as given to me in order to summon help and guidance when I need it.
