4th Annual Major Taylor Black History Ride
In celebration of Black History month. LevelUp Cycling Club would like to honor the pioneer of cycling for African Americans, Marshall Walter "Major" Taylor. He was the world cycling champion in 1899, American sprint champion in 1900 and he set numerous tracking cycling record. We also honor the Nelson "Cheetah" Vail. He was the first African American cyclist to win an Olympic medial in cycling. He won the silver medal in 1984 Olympic in sprint. Come out and celebrate with us as we pay homage to these two men by riding of your choice of 20/40/62 (Metric) ride.
