Risk Management Below are some risks to consider when completing the sections below.

Motor Vehicle Accident - CNH will take out additional insurance on hired vehicles

Speeding Infringements - Any speeding infringements are the responsibility of the driver.

Bushfire/Weather Event - 3 days prior to the event monitor weather conditions if conditions become unsuitable the event may be canceled. NO EVENTS OF CATASTROPHIC DAYS.

Covid/Illness - Adequate precautions need to be taken to prevent transmission of diseases such as hand sanitizer or masks where necessary. Remind attendees that they should not attend if they are on well.

Directions - Hired buses are usually fitted with a GPS. For Operating instructions please see the coordinator.

Intoxication - Any concerning behavior from attendees should be reported to the coordinator immediately. The bus driver must always remain at a blood alcohol reading of 0.00.

Slips and Trips:

  • Power cords secured
  • Clutter Removed or controlled
  • Area clear and attendees can move around freely.
  • Mobility equipment is stored so that it does not provide a tripping hazard.

Injuries - A first aid kit will be provided. The First Aider for CNH is Deb Bright.

Chemical Hazards - Will safety data sheets be available for any chemical hazards?

Power safety - Is there a safety switch installed? Are power items tested and tagged?

Shade/Sheltering - is the event outside will shade/sheltering need to be provided.

Sunscreen - if the event outside sunscreen can be provided.

Are you expecting more than 30 people, do you need a people management plan for traffic flow etc.

Sometimes if photographs or film are to be taken as part of an activity, a release form is required.  If it's not a public event (for example, a workshop), you should get their permissions. You can do so by using this release form.
