Media Consent for Bridge Play Foundation Use

Bridge Play Foundation is committed to promoting and sharing the excitement of our leagues and events through photography, videography, and live-streaming. As such, media coverage is an integral part of our operations.

By signing below, I, the undersigned, hereby consent to and authorize the Bridge Play Foundation (“Bridge Play”) and its agents, employees, and invited members of the press to:

  1. Capture and Use My Likeness and Voice Photograph, video record, audio record, or otherwise capture my image, voice, quotes, and participation during Bridge Play-sponsored activities, leagues, and events.
  2. Use, Edit, and Reuse Materials Disclose, edit, use, and reuse the captured materials for nonprofit, educational, promotional, and public press purposes. This includes but is not limited to use on social media, websites, newsletters, broadcasts, and other marketing and media platforms.
  3. Acknowledge Public Event Recordings Understand that during public events hosted by Bridge Play, attendees may independently take photographs, videos, or audio recordings that may include me, and that such recordings may also be made public without the control of Bridge Play.
  4. Waive Compensation Acknowledge that I will not receive any form of compensation for the use of my likeness, voice, or other contributions in these materials.
  5. Release of Liability Release and hold harmless Bridge Play Foundation, its agents, employees, and invited members of the press from all claims, demands, or liabilities arising out of or in connection with the rights granted above, except where prohibited by law.
  6. Revocation of Consent Understand that I may revoke this consent in writing at any time, except to the extent that action has already been taken in reliance on this consent.
  7. Condition of Participation:  I understand that if I do not agree to these terms, I may not eligible to fully participate in Bridge Play Foundation leagues, tournaments, or events. 

I also release the Bridge Play Foundation, its agents, and employees from all claims, demands, and liabilities in connection with the rights granted above. 

****Players who want to opt out of our media consent form MUST inform their team manager and contact the league commissioner or email BridgePlayFoundation@gmail.com to formally submit a Media Opt-Out Request.****

Bridge Play Foundation General Code of Conduct

The Bridge Play Foundation (“Bridge Play”) is committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants, including players, umpires, staff, team managers, volunteers, spectators, and coaches. By participating in any Bridge Play program or event, you agree to uphold this Code of Conduct and contribute to creating a positive and supportive community.

General Principles

Respect and Inclusion:

  • Treat all individuals, including players, umpires, staff, spectators, and opponents, with respect, dignity, and fairness.
  • Promote an inclusive and welcoming environment for all, regardless of race, gender, religion, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, or abilities.
  • Refrain from engaging in or tolerating harassment, discrimination, or bullying.

Accountability and Leadership:

  • Lead by example by demonstrating professionalism and sportsmanship at all times.
  • Follow all league rules and policies, and ensure others in your role do the same.
  • Take responsibility for your actions and address issues promptly and respectfully.

Sportsmanship and Integrity:

  • Encourage fair play and uphold the spirit of the game.
  • Avoid cheating, dishonesty, or manipulation of the rules.
  • Support the efforts of umpires, coaches, and volunteers to maintain a fair and enjoyable experience for all.

Safety and Well-being:

  • Prioritize the physical and emotional safety of all participants.
  • Report any unsafe conditions, behaviors, or incidents to Bridge Play staff promptly.
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines provided by Bridge Play Foundation.
Specific Expectations

For Players:

  • Wear the required uniform (jerseys/t-shirts, baseball/softball pants, hats, or visors). Non-compliance may result in penalties.
  • Respect teammates, opponents, umpires, and volunteers.
  • Avoid engaging in unsportsmanlike conduct, such as arguing with officials or taunting others.

For Umpires and Staff:

  • Carry out duties impartially, ensuring fair enforcement of league rules.
  • Treat all participants with respect and address disputes professionally.
  • Report concerns or violations to Bridge Play leadership as needed.

For Volunteers and Coaches:

  • Provide positive encouragement and guidance to all participants.
  • Ensure all players are given equal opportunities to develop and succeed.
  • Model exemplary behavior and uphold the values of the Bridge Play Foundation.

For Spectators:

  • Support players and teams with positive reinforcement and constructive encouragement.
  • Avoid negative or disruptive behavior, such as heckling or arguing with officials.
  • Respect the decisions of umpires and the efforts of volunteers.
Prohibited Conduct

The following behaviors are strictly prohibited for all participants, including players, umpires, staff, and spectators:

  • Physical or verbal abuse, intimidation, or threats.
  • Use of offensive, discriminatory, or derogatory language.
  • Possession, consumption, or influence of drugs, alcohol, or tobacco during Bridge Play events or programs.
  • Possession, brandishing, or threatening use of a weapon of any kind (resulting in immediate ejection from the league).
  • Cheating, dishonesty, or manipulation of the rules.
  • Vandalism, theft, or intentional damage to property.
Consequences of Violations

Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in the following consequences, depending on the severity of the behavior:

Uniform Policy Violations:

  • Players not in proper uniform will begin their first at-bat with two strikes. Repeated violations may result in additional penalties, such as game forfeiture.

Smoking, Alcohol, or Drug Use:

  • First Violation: Verbal or written warning, with possible suspension for the game.
  • Second Violation: Suspension for multiple games.
  • Third Violation: Permanent ejection from the league.

Weapons Violations:

  • Immediate Consequence: Any individual in possession of, brandishing, or threatening use of a weapon will be permanently ejected from the league.

Other Violations (e.g., harassment, abuse, unsportsmanlike conduct):

  • First Violation: Verbal or written warning.
  • Second Violation: Temporary suspension for the individual or team.
  • Third Violation: Permanent ejection from the league.

Team-Level Consequences:

  • If violations by team members or spectators are not addressed, the entire team may face penalties, including game forfeiture or removal from the league.
Reporting Concerns

All participants are encouraged to report violations of this Code of Conduct. Reports can be made to Bridge Play staff or volunteers during events or submitted confidentially via email at bridgeplayfoundation@gmail.com. All reports will be handled promptly and discreetly.

By participating in any Bridge Play Foundation programs or events, you agree to uphold this Code of Conduct and contribute to a positive, inclusive, and respectful environment for everyone involved. Thank you for your cooperation and commitment!

BRIDGE PLAY FOUNDATION WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITYREAD BEFORE SIGNING

In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way with Bridge Play Foundation Inc., including but not limited to as a player, volunteer, parent, umpire, spectator, or in any other capacity, the undersigned acknowledges, appreciates, and agrees that:

  1. Acknowledgment of Risks The risks of injury and illness (e.g., communicable diseases such as MRSA, influenza, and COVID-19) from the activities involved in this program are significant, including the potential for permanent paralysis and death. While particular rules, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce these risks, the risks of serious injury and illness do exist.
  2. Voluntary Assumption of Risks I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation, including but not limited to as a player, volunteer, parent, umpire, spectator, or in any other capacity.
  3. Compliance with Safety Guidelines I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. If, however, I observe any unusual significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately. I also confirm that I have reviewed and agree to abide by all health and safety guidelines set forth by the Bridge Play Foundation.
  4. Release of Liability I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives, and next of kin, HEREBY RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS Bridge Play Foundation, their officers, officials, agents, and/or employees, other participants, volunteers, parents, umpires, spectators, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and, if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event (“RELEASEES”), WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL INJURY, ILLNESS, DISABILITY, DEATH, or loss or damage to person or property, WHETHER ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE, to the fullest extent permitted by law. This release does not apply to gross negligence, reckless conduct, or intentional acts by the RELEASEES.
  5. Severability Clause If any provision of this agreement is found to be unenforceable by a court of law, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
  6. Acknowledgment of Opportunity to Seek Counse lI acknowledge that I have had the opportunity to seek independent legal advice regarding the terms of this waiver and release and fully understand its terms before signing.

I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT.
