The 2025 Salem Witchcraft & Folklore Festival Presenter Submission Form - OLD

Please fill out each section of this Presenter Form. This application is for the in person celebration of The Salem Witchcraft & Folklore Festival, taking place in Salem, MA. and scheduled for Tuesday August 19th - Sunday August 24th, 2025. The deadline for all submissions is December 31st 2024, 11:59pm est.

It is our desire to attract teachers, authors,  folklorists, speakers, performers, ritualists, business-owners, and  activists from a variety of magical traditions to participate in this  event. We will be opening up limited class slots on Wednesday August 20th & Sunday August 24thfor remote presntations, please note we will be giving prefernce to Presenters outside of the US area. 

The theme of this 2025 Festival is Witchcraft for Activism, Community Support, & Protection. While we will accept presentations that are not connected to this theme, we will be giving prefernce to submissions that embrace this subject.  

Types of presentations wanted: 

●     Workshops (hands-on, practical, DIY classes) 

●     Lectures (information-based classes) 

●     Ritual/Meditation (mind/body/spirit engagement) 

●     Performance (poetry, spoken-word, dance, acting, music, ritual arts) 

●     Author Events (book signing, pop-up shops, literature-based) 

●     ETC. (have an interesting skill or experience to share? Submit it!)   

Rules of Submission:  

  • Classes  will be in 2 hour blocks. Presenters are encouraged to plan their  submissions to be between 90-120 minutes in length to fill the available  space.  
  • Only 4 submissions accepted from 1 Presenter (including Co-Teaching events). Not all submissions are guaranteed to be  approved. 

In-Person Presenter Perks & Incentives to Attend: 

  • The presenter will receive a $300 payment, if the presentation selected featres a co-presenter, you will each receive a $150 payment. Payments will be made via check for our in-person presenters. Please make sure to include your legal name for accurate and timely payments. 
  • Each presenter will have the ability to attend all classes and workshops free of charge (General Admission Ticket Valued  at $375), as well as attend our Welcome Dinner, Mercato Delle Streghe, Farewell Brunch, & Sunday Pub Crawl free of charge. Presenters will also receive a special 50% off discount code to attend our other special events (Private Trolley Tour around historic Salem, Sunset Harbor Cruise, Antilux - An Evening of Immersive Ritual Theatre, Film Screening & Panel Discussion, & Black Cat Cabaret. 
  • Presenters can choose to have their presentation added to the Salem Witchcraft & Folklore Festival Class Archives.

Remote Presenter Perks & Incentives to Attend: 

  • The presenter will receive $10 for each individual ticket sold for their class, $7.50 for each Day Pass sold that corrosponds with the day of their class, and $5.00 for each General Admision Ticket purchased. For each class selected with a co-presenter, each co-presenter will recive $5.00 for each individual ticket sold, $3.75 for each Day Pass sold that corrosponds with the day of their class, and $2.50 for each General Admission Pass sold. Payments will be made via PaylPal for our remote presenters. Please make sure to include both your updated PayPal info and legal name for accurate and timely payments. 
  • Each presenter will have the ability to attend all classes and workshops free of charge (Online General Admission Ticket Valued  at $275)
  • Presenters can choose to have their presentation added to the Salem Witchcraft & Folklore Festival Class Archives.

Social Media Agreement: 

  • Presenters will be expected to actively promote this event as well as their own classes and additional Festival events on their websites and social media accounts. Access to the Presenter Google Drive account will be granted upon approval of classes for images to use to help promote your class(es) and the Festival.
