Important: Each participant must sign the “Release and Waiver Liability” before working, volunteering, or attending an event at Hope for Kids located at 129 Yerger Rd. Schwenksville, PA  19473. The Solomon Foundation (TSF) is the owner of the property and Hope for Kids leases it from them. Read this waiver very carefully before you sign. Waiver is applicable for 1 year from date of signature.

Release and Waiver of Liability.

This Release and Waiver of Liability (the “Release”) executed on this (date entered below) day of (month entered below), (year entered below), by (Volunteer/Attendee Name entered below) in favor of Hope for Kids, LLC. (“Hope for Kids”) a nonprofit organization, and each of their directors, officers, employees, and agents and also TSF.  The volunteer/attendee desires to work for Hope for Kids and engage in activities related to being a volunteer. I, the volunteer/attendee, hereby freely and voluntarily, without duress, execute this Release under the following terms:

Waiver and Release. I, the volunteer/attendee, release and forever discharge and hold Hope for Kids, TSF, and its successors and assignments from any liability, claims, and demands of whatever kind or nature, either in law or equity, which arise or may hereafter arise from my volunteer work at Hope for Kids. I, the volunteer/attendee, understand and acknowledge that this Release discharges Hope for Kids, and TSF,  from any liability or claim that volunteer and minor may have against Hope for Kids or TSF with respect to bodily injury, personal injury, illness, death or property damage that may result from participation in the Hope for Kids work. It is also understood that Hope for Kids and The Solomon Foundation does not assume any responsibility for or obligation to provide financial assistance or other assistance, including but not limited to medical, health or disability insurance in the event of injury, illness, death or property damage.

Insurance. I, the volunteer/attendee, understand that I expressly waive any such claim for compensation or liability on the part of Hope for Kids and TSF beyond what may be offered freely by the representative of Hope for Kids or TSF in the event of such injury or medical expense.

Medical Treatment. I, the volunteer/attendee, hereby release and forever discharge Hope for Kids and TSF from any claim whatsoever which arises or may hereafter arise on account of any first-aid treatment or other medical services rendered in connection with any emergency during my time with Hope for Kids. I give permission to the Hope for Kids trained staff and volunteers to proceed with necessary medical intervention in the case of an emergency.

Assumption of Risk. I, the volunteer/attendee, understand that the time with Hope for Kids may include activities that may be hazardous to me including, but not limited to, construction activities, loading and unloading heavy equipment and materials, and local transportation to and from work sites. Also, I, the volunteer/attendee recognize and understand that the time with Hope for Kids may, in some situations, involve inherently dangerous activities. As the volunteer/attendee, I hereby expressly assume the risk of injury or harm in these activities and release Hope for Kids and TSF from all liability for injury, illness, death or property damage resulting from the activities of my time at Hope for Kids. As the parent or legal guardian of a minor volunteer/attendee Hope for Kids, I acknowledge, agree, and represent that they have or will immediately acquaint themselves with the rules for use of Hope for Kids and ask an employee or staff member if (s)he has any questions regarding the rules or concerns regarding the safe use of the facilities.

Photographic Release. As a volunteer/attendee, I grant and convey to Hope for Kids and TSF all right, title, and interest in any and all photographic images and video or audio recordings made by Hope for Kids during the time spent at Hope for Kids.

Other. As the volunteer/attendee I expressly agree that this release is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by laws of the State of Pennsylvania in the United States of America, and that this Release shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Pennsylvania. I agree that in the event that any clause or provision of this release shall be held to be invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such clause shall not otherwise affect the remaining provisions of this Release, which shall continue to be enforceable.
